Just Checking In

mythicalgirlWork and everything else in the world is still playing havoc with my ability to post. I like being busy but this is getting ridiculous!
The garden is pretty much done for the year. The bean plant tried to go another round - alas, no luck. Poor thing is all wilty and done for I'm afraid. The tomato plant, however, is still going strong. I've eaten more tomatoes this year than I have in, well, ever! And they are sooooo good. The carrots finally came in and sucked ass so they went into the compost/critter food pile. Still, the whole garden experiment went well overall so yes, I believe I will do it again next year.
On the reading front I finished Crooked Little Vein by Warren Ellis the other day. Disturbing and funny and irreverent and just plain wacko - I loved every minute of it! I also read Madame Xanadu: Disenchanted, which I also enjoyed immensely. I'll keep an eye out for volume two. And I'm currently reading Saturn's Children by Charles Stross. This is my first Stross book and I am liking it so far but I'm not glued to it. Maybe once I get past the first 100 pages it will get to the point where I can't put it down.
And now I'm off to get a haircut and go to the grocery store before coming home to clean the house, prune plants, dismantle part of the garden,,,etc, etc, blah, blah, blah.
