I survived

First an update on my internet connection.  It didn't drop once over the weekend.  So I'm happy about that but a little apprehensive that it's a fluke.  I think it's on its best behavior since my parents are here and once they leave its going to drop again just to spite me. 

I made it through all the social engagements with the relatives over the weekend.  It was good to see everyone and I had fun at lunch and at the get together at my house.  And I am way glad its over.  I am not a social person at the best of times and after a long, difficult work week I really didn't want to do the family thing.  But I did, it was OK, I survived.  

Yesterday the parents and I did yard work and outside stuff.  I cleaned gutters, learned how to handle an extension ladder (which I hate!), planted tulip bulbs, and cut the grass.  Dad trimmed some more branches from my trees so now I can cut the grass in the back yard without ducking.   

All in all not a bad weekend.  My back and legs are sore from yard work yesterday and I'm desperately in need of a nap but other than that all is well.  I'm like my grandmother (who is very happy to be going home today) - I my routines and it irks me when they get messed up.
