Many Apologies
Apr. 16th, 2011 03:39 pmBetween work, the DDoS (dedicated denial of service) attacks on LJ recently, and, well, just plain being a slacker I have not updated in forever.
Work is hell and just seems to be getting more so every day. I'm super busy, one of the new peeps that we hired to take some of the stress off of me quit, I'm on three major high-profile projects but only one can be my number one priority - and no one can agree on which one that should be. Basically I'm screwed and not enjoying it at all. I have hours of work to do on one of the above mentioned projects this weekend. I'm saving that for tomorrow though. Today I intend to watch some TV, maybe finish reading Grail by Elizabeth Bear, and have a beer or two. Tomorrow. I'll work tomorrow.
I did get the house somewhat clean today. At least the kitchen and bathrooms are done and the floors hoovered. Still haven't dusted, which I can't seem to get worked up about so who cares, right? The grocery shopping is done (lots of fruit and veggies!) and laundry is currently in the wash. The weather outside sucks so no work on the yard or gardens this weekend. I got quite a bit done last weekend when the weather was nice, including prepping the spot for the new raised bed I'm going to try this year. The daffodils are done, the tulips are blooming profusely, and the lilac bush is greening up nicely. The seedling starts are, well, not doing all that fabulous. We'll see what makes it through to being planted outside in May and what I have to give up on. That's OK - Lowe's will sell me plants.
No other news to share really. I'm tired, cranky, and fussy. So I'm pampering myself for the rest of the day.
