Radio Silence
Mar. 5th, 2011 03:47 pmIts not that I don't want to talk to everyone out there. Or that I have nothing to share.
Just that I've been super busy at work. Plus it has been ucky, grey and rainy the last few days so my mood is pretty much shit.
Suffice it to say that work is work - still more of a challenge than it was; still no real idea what it is I'm supposed to be doing or what my official title/capacity is.
Yoga has been great. K- beat the hell out of us Thursday in our ashtanga class but I was, amazingly, able to keep up. I think I may actually be getting the hang of this. Not sure I'm ready for a true 90-minute to two hour ashtanga class yet but I'm rocking the one hour.
No painting or language study lately. If I make time for the gym and for reading in the evenings then I don't seem to have anything left for other pursuits. The work life balance thing is still a work in progress, no pun intended.
According to Shelfari I'm behind my reading pace from last year. I read 65 books last year and so far this year I've read, like, ten. So yeah.
And today I'm doing laundry while surfing the net. Grocery shopping is done, house is clean, and it sucks outside but I don't really have anywhere I need to go so it all works out. I hope to be back with something more blog worthy soon but for now, well, this is pretty much all there is.
