Level Up

This has been a level up week for me at the gym.  If I was doing 10 lbs I'm now doing 20, or I'm doing a third (or fourth) set.  If I was doing 20 minutes on a machine I'm now doing 30.  Where before my gym time was a pretty consistent 50 minutes three times a week it is now more like 90 minutes four times a week.

Sadly according to the scale I haven't lost any more weight.  I'm noticing changes in my body that indicate I'm moving in a positive direction though.  More definition, my clothes are loose, I'm down a size in some things.  While I wish it was reflected in the scale I am happy just to be seeing results.

Because OMFG I HURT!  Not the type of hurt in my joints that sent me to the gym in the first place.  This is more a continuous ache deep in my muscles.  I'm sore.  I'm tired.  And I'm hungry.  I'm craving protein and carbs in about equal measure and I really just want to curl up and take a nap.

All of which is a perfectly normal reaction to leveling up.  I just wish it didn't hurt so much the first few days.

OK.  Enough whining.  Back to work for a few more hours then time ot hit the gym.
